A month in the life of an RMC…

Everyday when the children came into the classroom this month I asked them what colors they were wearing.  Then I have a conversation with the children about different colors: “Yes, your shirt is red. Red is also the color of a strawberry.”  The children seem to be picking up the colors. With the children being at so many different educational levels, sometimes they are only able to guess colors, and if they are not correct I will just redirect: “Well, the floor is green and your shirt is red.” This also helps the kids learn communication, as English is a second language for some children. – Tracy, Assistant Teacher
