Three times a year, a day is set aside when RMC members do not report to ministry.  On these days, RMC volunteers have the opportunity to participate in days of reflection, community activities or alternative service projects to help foster a deeper sense of community.

For April’s RMC day, the Redeemer Ministry Corps volunteers spent the day serving at Pennypack Farm, a local farm that strive to make sustainable agriculture an important part of our community through farming, education, and community events.  Despite the unseasonably cold weather, it was a great day to experience the beauty of God’s creation.  After the farm, the RMC’s held a Holy Week prayer service.

Sisters of the Holy Redeemer Celebrate 90 Years in America

March 19th, the Feast of St. Joseph, was a very special day for the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer, the sponsoring congregation of Redeemer Ministry Corps.  The Sisters celebrated the 90th anniversary of their arrival in America from Wuerzburg, Germany.  The occasion was marked with a special Mass and a day of prayer for the Sisters.

The Sisters will celebrate this Anniversary throughout the year.  In September, they will also celebrate the 200th birthday of their Foundress, Mother Alphonse Maria Eppinger.
